(The floor begins to rumble.)
>Oh no, what now?
(A giant mound of dirt bursts from the floor and a small creature pops out from the top.)

>Okay, now I know I've seen you before. You're--
Cups: Hi there MATT. It's me, Cups the Vole.
>...Of course you are.
Cups: Professor Tamarack told me he gave you a ReciDex. You'll probably need some training before you start to learn how to cook. Press A if you want me to teach you some basic moves, or press B if you think you're already good enough!
>I don't have anything to press, but I'll go with option A.
Cups: Once you open up the ReciDex using the Start button, you can look at your current and completed Quests, the Recipes you have found, the Inventory for your Kitchen, and your Wish List. Try it out, I'll see you at the next molehill. By the way, you can call me whenever you see a molehill by standing next to it and pressing B.
(Quest unlocked!)
(After looking through the ReciDex, you notice that Cups has disappeared from the molehill you are standing at.)
>What the... where did he go?
(You notice another molehill has formed by your Kitchen.)
>Oh come on! Cups? Cups!
(You walk to the molehill at your Kitchen.)
>I can't believe I'm doing this.... Beeeeee!
(Cups emerges from the new molehill.)
Cups: Hello again. Let's work on your Inventory. A Chef must know his way around a Kitchen.
>You realize I live on the second floor, right?
Cups: Tap R to take Inventory of your Kitchen. Try it out!
>Uh... okay? R--
(In a flurry of movement, you dash around the kitchen opening every cupboard and drawer.)
(Congratulations! You have taken Inventory of your Kitchen! Your ReciDex has been updated!)
>That...was...weird. How did you get me to move around that quickly!?
Cups: The Inventory will only include your Kitchen equipment, so you will need to keep an eye on your Ingredients. If there are things you wish you had in your Kitchen, you can add them to the Wish List on your ReciDex. As for your first Recipe, I think I saw something on top of your fridge.
>How? You're a vole standing on a molehill!
Cups: Look out for me and my molehills. Good luck!
(Cups jumped down the molehill and has disappeared.)
>...Wait. Just how am I going to explain this to the people on the first floor!?
